一,用于制硫酸、硫磺

二,硫铁矿石的85%以上用于制造硫酸,其次**硫黄。黄铁矿当伴生的铜、铅、锌、银、金、钴、镍等元素达到一定含量时可综合回收利用。 

生产方法:

大多数中小型硫铁矿山用地下开采法,主要采矿方法是分段崩落法。少数矿床埋藏较浅的大型矿山用露天开采法。坑采一般工艺流程和露采一般工艺流程与“磷块岩”相同。选矿方法主要有浮选法、重选法和磁选法。一般选矿工艺流程同“磷块岩”。对于单一硫铁矿、多金属硫铁矿及含炭质较少的煤系硫铁矿一般采用磨矿-分级-浮选流程;对于含炭质和黏土较多的煤系硫铁矿采用重选一浮选或浮选一重选联合流程。
