Esculeoside A is an orally active spirosolane-type steroidal alkaloid glycoside found in ripe fruits of Lycopersicon esculentum var. cerasiforme and Lycopersicon esculentum. Esculeoside A inhibits the growth of MCF7 human breast cancer cells and B16F2F mouse melanoma cells. Esculeoside A can be used for the research of breast cancer, melanoma[1].
