FASN-IN-8 is a fatty acid synthase (FASN) inhibitor. FASN-IN-8 inhibits FASN-mediated de novo lipogenesis. FASN-IN-8 blocks PI3K/AKT pathway activation, inhibits cancer cells proliferation, migration and invasion. FASN-IN-8 induces apoptosis and ROS production. FASN-IN-8 promotes apoptosis.FASN-IN-8 inhibits cancer cell migration and invasion. FASN-IN-8 can be used for the research of hepatocellular carcinoma[1].

Apoptosis Analysis[1]

Cell Line: human Hep-G2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells
Concentration: 0.094 μM, 0.47 μM, 2.35 μM
Incubation Time: 48 h (flow cytometry; Western blot)
Result: Significantly increased the proportion of apoptotic Hep-G2 cells in a concentration-dependent manner.
Upregulated expression of cleaved-caspase-3 and cleaved-caspase-9 in a concentration-dependent manner, indicating activation of caspase-dependent apoptotic pathways.

Western Blot Analysis[1]
