黄色黏性油状液体。对光敏感，对空气和湿稳定，能被氢氧化碱溶液和还原剂破坏。溶于乙醇、丙酮、苯、石油醚、已烷、二氧六环、氯仿、乙醚、植物油和其他脂肪溶剂，微溶于甲醇，不溶于水。最大吸收波长（石油醚中）242，248，260，269，325cm（E^1%_1cm396，419，383，387，68）。

Vitamin K1, also known as phylloquinone, consists of naphthalenoid and phytyl groups. Phylloquinone is present abundantly in photosynthetic plants and is a major dietary source. It is a fat-soluble vitamin.

Vitamin K{1} is an important dietary source found in green plants, algae and photosynthetic bacteria. It is used as a vitamin (prothrombogenic) and veterinary antidote for dicoumarol poisoning. It is an essential vitamin for the synthesis of coagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X in the liver.
