Western blot analysis of extracts from M-intestine (lane 1) and M-lung (lane 2) using CK18 antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and loading control antibody (GAPDH, 1/3000) was diluted with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/8,000) was incubated for 45min at room temperature.

背景

功能：参与肝细胞对凝血酶-抗凝血酶复合物的摄取 (基于相似性)。磷酸化后，在纤维丝重组中发挥作用。参与将突变型 CFTR 转运至质膜。与 KRT8 共同参与白细胞介素-6 (IL-6) 介导的屏障保护。

亚细胞定位：核基质；细胞质，核周区；细胞核，核仁；细胞质

表达水平：
组织特异性：在结肠、胎盘、肝脏中表达，在宫颈外口表达极弱。在乳腺癌淋巴结中观察到表达增加。

诱导：通过IL6/白细胞介素-6

亚基：由两个 I 型角蛋白和两个 II 型角蛋白组成的异源四聚体。KRT18 与 KRT8 结合 (PubMed:10852826, PubMed:24940650)。当与 KRT8 形成异源二聚体时，KRT18 与 PLEC 亚型 1C 相互作用 (PubMed:24940650)。
