p-Cresol-d7 is deuterium labeled p-Cresol (HY-Y0506). p-Cresol is a L‑tyrosine (HY-N0473)‑derived bacterial metabolite. p-Cresol induces genotoxicity, DNA double-strand breaks, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, S-phase cell cycle arrest, cell detachment, and apoptotic/autophagic cell death in colonocytes and renal tubular cells. p-Cresol disrupts intestinal barrier, endothelial, cardiomyocyte, and neural membrane function, inhibits oligodendrocyte differentiation, and modulates behavior in BTBR mice. p-Cresol acts as a Periplaneta americana repellent and odoriferous ventral gland secretion component. p-Cresol can be used for the research of inflammation, chronic kidney disease, digestive system disease, cardiovascular and neurological disease[1][2][3].
