UR-11353 is a selective platelet activating factor (PAF) antagonist with long-lasting activity. UR-11353 inhibits PAF-induced platelet aggregation in rabbit platelet-rich plasma. UR-11353 inhibits PAF-induced hypotension in normotensive rats. UR-11353 protects against PAF-induced mortality in mice[1].

Animal Model: PAF-induced Swiss mice (male, 22-26 g)[1]
Dosage: 1 mg/kg
Administration: i.v.; single dose
Result: Achieved 100% protection against PAF-induced mortality at 0.5, 2, 3, and 5 hours post-administration.
Achieved 95% protection against PAF-induced mortality at 7 hours post-administration.
Achieved 81% protection against PAF-induced mortality at 17 hours post-administration.
Achieved 48% protection against PAF-induced mortality at 24 hours post-administration.
Exhibited an ID50 of 0.023 mg/kg i.v. for inhibition of PAF-induced mortality.
