Antifungal agent-161 (Compound 7) is an Antifungal agent. Antifungal agent-161 potently inhibits Candida albicans ATCC 36082 (with a MIC of 1.32 μM) and Candida glabrata ATCC 2001 (with a MIC of 1.66 μM). Antifungal agent-161 reduces fungal loads in infected mice and eliminates Candida albicans and Candida glabrata infections. Antifungal agent-161 can be used for the research of candidiasis[1].

Animal Model: BALB/c (female, 6-8 weeks old, 25-30 g, immunocompromised with cyclophosphamide, inoculated with Candida albicans)[1]
Dosage: 2 mg/kg
Administration: daily; 6 days
Result: Achieved an 88% survival rate (vs. 50% in infection control group).
Reduced kidney fungal burden to 228-318 CFU/g (vs. 2100-2300 CFU/g in infection control group).
Preserved intact red and white pulp in spleen tissue with no Candida albicans hyphae.
Maintained intact glomeruli, Bowman's capsules, and convoluted tubules in kidney tissue with only mild collagen dispersion and no visible fungal infestation.
Animal Model: BALB/c (female, 6-8 weeks old, 25-30 g, immunocompromised with cyclophosphamide, inoculated with Candida glabrata)[1]

Maintained intact proximal and distal convoluted tubules, glomeruli, and Bowman's capsules in kidney tissue with normal histology.
