生物活性

BO-653 is an oral active antiatherogenic antioxidant with high binding affinity to LDL. BO-653 scavenges linoleate peroxyl radicals and suppresses lipid peroxidation during linoleic acid autoxidation, and potently inhibits LDL oxidation. BO-653 enhances the oxidation resistance of isolated rabbit LDL. BO-653 exerts significant antiatherogenic effects in multiple animal models including Watanabe heritable hyperlipidemic rabbits. BO-653 can be used for the research of atherosclerosis[1].
